In this Unit, you have different activities which will help you to identify the importance of reducing inequalities according to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 10 in order to raise your awareness of inequalities, recognize the need for their reduction, and be able to negotiate the rights of different groups. 

Activity 1:

Think of some keywords that could help you find useful information on how to answer a question about inequalities.  


Activity 2:

To expand the set of keywords you have considered a list of pertinent keywords is given: ableism, ageism, assimilation, bias, bigotry, classism, destitution, disability, discrimination, feminism, impoverishment, inclusion, sanitation, and xenophobia. Think of those keywords’ meanings.
Please, read possible explanations for each of the mentioned keywords, and then complete the crossword with the given keywords.

Activity 3:

Since the term "reducing inequalities" covers different types of inequalities and gaps among people, social groups, countries, economies, education, etc., as well as a wide range of actions, SDG 10 is strongly connected with other goals. Primarily, we apostrophe goals: 1. No poverty, 2. Zero hunger, 3. Good health and well-being, 4.Quality education, 5. Gender equality, and 8. Decent work and economic growth.
Please, read the targets of SDGs 10, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 8. After that, in the text that contains some of those targets,fill in the missing words (in the first 13 sentences), or choose the correct word or value (in the following 10 sentences).
