LEARNING OBJECTIVES AND OUTCOMES


1. Synthesize main ideas to construct new concepts
1.1 Recognize interrelationships among concepts and combine them into potentially useful primary statements with supporting evidence.
1.2 Use analysis tools such as spreadsheets, databases, statistical software, as well as social networks, and multimedia equipment to investigate the interaction between pieces of information, materials, practices, ideas, documents, or other data.

2. Compare new knowledge with prior knowledge to determine the value added, contradictions, or other unique characteristics of the information
2.1 Determine whether information satisfies the research or other information need.
2.2 Draw conclusions based upon the information gathered.
2.3 Integrate new information with previous information or knowledge to form new perspectives and theories or to enhance professional practice.
2.4 Select information that provides evidence for the topic.

3. Apply new and prior information to accomplish a specific purpose
3.1 Organize the content in a manner that supports the purposes and format of the task (e.g. outlines, drafts, storyboards).
3.2 Articulate knowledge and skills transferred from prior experiences to create a content.
3.3 Integrate the new and prior information, including quotations and paraphrasing, in a manner that supports the purposes of the task.
3.4 Manipulate digital text, images, and data, as needed, transferring them from their original locations and format to a new context.
